EYFS
At Barrow 1618 CofE Primary Free School we aim to provide motivating first-hand experiences whilst encouraging our children to build resilience, ambition and a lifelong love of learning. We recognise that all children are unique, celebrating and welcoming differences within our school community. Our Early Years Curriculum has been designed to reflect the nature of our intake and follow and build upon our school vision and values whilst making the most of our beautiful outdoor environment.
Our ambitious curriculum ensures that after children, our whole school values form the nucleus to everything we do.
We teach the children the importance of care and respect for all people, creatures and the environment whilst fostering a love of learning and ambition through carefully crafted relationship building activities. Our provision encourages children’s natural curiosity particularly in nature and our team help children to assess and take risks in order to develop resilience and pride in what they set out to achieve. Through encouragement children learn the benefits of inclusion and teamwork when playing and working inside and outside the classroom. Children learn to value friendship and are taught about how to be thoughtful, kind and caring towards others.
